We moved to Kirkland, then Kenmore during grade school years. In middle school, our family moved to the coast of Washington. We lived in Long Beach, Washington at the Pacific Ocean and in Ilwaco, Washington, above the harbor/port of the "Fishing Capital of the West". If you have not visited the Long Beach Peninsula at SW Washington, please do so! Try to get out on a Charterboat — crossing the Columbia River bar can be something pretty spectacular all by itself. I'm a proud graduate of Ilwaco High School.
After high school, I moved to Vancouver, Washington and Portland, Oregon. I graduated with a BS in Business Administration from Portland State University. Portland was a beautiful city, the university was a downtown campus. It was a lot of fun, but by graduation, I was ready for something 'bigger', so I moved back to Seattle.
The early 80's saw a deep recession. In late 1983, I became a real estate agent in Seattle. None of us realized how quickly the Seattle/Eastside would grow because of computer/high tech/Microsoft growth in the mid-1980's and beyond. Real estate has been the perfect fit for me. I am lucky that I found my niche at a young age, and did not have to face a potential 'job relocation' for a corporate style job to another state. So long as I get to live along the coast, lakes and mountains of Washington State, I'm pretty darned happy.
In 1988, I was one of the first agents to go to the new Yarrow Bay Windermere office. Working with manager/broker Audrey Lilly and owner Don Deasy, and being part of growing and developing a new Windermere office was tremendous. I miss them both. Today the younger generation of Deasys' are doing an excellent job of continuing to help make Windermere strong.
My work is fun, and I enjoy meeting all of you. When I work with someone I helped buy or sell before, it is like seeing an old friend again. Building long-term relationships is one of many benefits I gain from my career! If you're reading this, chances are you already know something about me.
Thanks for thinking about working with me, let's talk.
